Mr. Wesley Franklin, age 74 of Wingo, Ky passed away at 3:13 PM Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield. He was a member of the Pryorsburg Community Fellowship Church, a retired Tire Builder from General Tire, and he was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam War era where he served in Korea. He is survived by his wife- Katie Allen Franklin of Wingo, Ky, daughter- Michelle Herrera of Corpus Christi, TX, son- Michael Franklin of Wingo, KY, son- Tim (Candy) Franklin of Mayfield, Ky, daughter- Tara Babb of Wingo, Ky; sister- Bonnie Rowe of Fulton, Ky, sister- Evelyn Cox of Fulton, Ky, sister- Barbara Rowe of Maynard, Ar, brother- Roy Franklin of Hickman, Ky, twin brother- Lesley Franklin of Wingo, Ky, brother- Troy Franklin of Hickman County, Ky, brother- Terry Franklin of Wingo, Ky; 10 grandchildren- Tanner Franklin, Jonathan Franklin, Tiffany Franklin, Sophia Herrera, Kaler Babb, Kade Babb, Jeremiah Franklin, Olivia Herrera, Keagan Babb and Kelby Miller. He was preceded in death by 1 sister, 3 brothers; his parents- Floyd Stanley & Johnnie Luna Franklin. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the Pryorsburg Community Fellowship Church with Rev. Mike Miller officiating, burial will follow in the Church cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, Ky, and after 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the Pryorsburg Community Fellowship Church. His Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Military Rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #26. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pryorsburg Community Fellowship Church Cemetery, 7059 St. Rt. 45 South Mayfield, KY 42066.
