Stephen Douglas Jenkins Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Stephen Douglas Jenkins, 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, surrounded by family. Steve was born in Henderson, Kentucky to Frank and Mary Lee Jenkins. He grew up in a loving home with 4 older brothers and 1 younger sister. Steve proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, then went on to spend his life managing supermarkets. He was a stranger to no one with his outgoing and charismatic personality. He loved UK basketball, fishing, gardening and playing cards. Steve was a person of faith and a member of the Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Steve spent 53 wonderful years married to the love of his life, Linda (O'Nan) Jenkins. Together, they had 4 children- Jennifer (Thomas) Curtsinger, Jessica (Shane) Beaubien, Jeanna (Charlie) Wieber, Josh (Holly) Jenkins, 13 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter who were the joy of his life. Steve had many other special family including Stacey (Steve) Pickard, their 2 children and 2 grandchildren. Steve was beloved by his entire family and the legacy of kind spirit and good nature will live on through them all. Please join us in celebrating his life. Visitation will be held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 702 West Broadway, Mayfield, Kentucky on Saturday morning, June 18th from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM, immediately followed by a funeral mass. Josh Jenkins will have the honor of carrying his father's ashes. Honorary pallbearers are- Zachary Curtsinger, Davin Sanford, Noah Curtsinger, Ethan Jenkins, Alec Jenkins, Andrew Beaubien, Parker Blalock, Lucas Beaubien, Logan Blalock, and Jude Jenkins. Steve will be laid to rest in Saint Joseph Cemetery. The Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, Ky is in charge of arrangements.
