Shirley June Walker

Mrs. Shirley June Glisson Walker, age 84, of Sedalia, KY passed at 8:30 AM Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Oakview Nursing & Rehab Center. Shirley was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Murray, KY. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Shirley enjoyed her roses, raising a garden and giving the produce to family and friends. She was a loving caretaker to those in need. Shirley is survived by her husband of 63 years – Hugh Walker of Sedalia, KY; daughter – Belinda Walker of Gilbertsville, KY; son – Craig Walker of Hickory, KY; grandson – Jacob (Haley) Walker of Grand Rivers, KY; great-grandson – Hatcher Walker; brother – Bobby (Jo) Glisson of Fulton, KY; sister – Jane (Johnny) Glisson Alford of Martin, TN; sister-in-law – Sue Glisson of Pilot Oak, KY and several nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents – Elton (Red) & Lorene Batts Glisson and a brother – Jimmy Glisson. Graveside services for Shirley will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 21, 2020 at the Pilot Oak Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Hendon officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. The Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY is in charge of the arrangements.
