Robert Black Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Robert Neil Black, 89 of the Springhill community in Clinton, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center. He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church, Navy Veteran during the Korean War, Former President and CEO of the Clinton Bank for 40 years, and was very involved in the community serving two terms as Chamber of Commerce president, president of the Clinton Rotary Club, President of the Ken-Tenn Chapter of the AIB Institute of Banking, treasurer of the Red Cross for 30 years, had served on the Board at the Clinton-Hickman County ICF since 1984, and was a Kentucky Colonel. He is survived by his granddaughter, Kim (Allen) Smith of Martin, TN, grandson, Eric Davis of Clarksville, TN, great grandchildren, Colin Davis of Clarksville, TN and Nathan Davis of Atlanta, GA, Alex and Max Mobley of Martin, TN and Katelyn and Allie Smith of Martin, TN and special friend, Sue Featherstone of Springhill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Lester and Lillie Orr Black, wife, Martha Black, son, Ricky Davis, 3 sisters and 5 brothers. A private family funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Springhill Baptist Church with Rev. David Crowder and Rev. Chris Clark officiating. For those wishing to listen to the funeral service, it will be broadcast on 90.9 FM and you may listen from the church parking lot. Burial will follow in the Springhill Cemetery.
