Mr. Philip Edward Cecil, age 75, of Mayfield, KY passed away at 7:47 AM Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Mercy Health-Lourdes in Paducah, KY. Philip was of the Baptist Faith and was a retired Truck Driver. Survivors include his wife 57 years – Carol Cecil of Mayfield, KY; two sons – Jason Brent Cecil of Mayfield, KY and Chad Thomas (Kristina) Cecil of Paducah, KY; brother- Gary Lynn “Buck” Cecil of Hickory, KY; sister – Carol Diane Bearden of Hickory, KY; three grandchildren – Sarah Rice and Amanda Rice both of Paducah, KY and Scott Cecil of Mayfield, KY Philip was preceded in death by his parents – Guthrie Lee & Grace Belle (Overby) Cecil; and a brother – Jerry Lee Cecil. Graveside services for Philip will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 23, 2021 at the Maplewood Cemetery in Mayfield, KY with Ralph Austin officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. The Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY is in charge of the arrangements.
