James Howard Elliott

Mr. James Howard Elliott, age 87 and a resident of Fancy Farm, passed away at 9:45 A.M. Friday, January 21, 2022 at the Southgate Nursing and Rehab. Center in Metropolis, IL. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, a retired electrician from General Tire and a United States Marine Veteran. He is survived by his wife; Jacqueline “Jackie” Elliott, two sons; Tim Elliott, So. Fulton, TN., Michael (Tina) Elliott, Mayfield, one daughter; Tracy (Richard) Hobbs, Cunningham, one brother; Rudy (Judy) Elliott, Fancy Farm, one sister; Rosanell Burch, St. Louis, Mo. Seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; Charles Willard and Cecilia Carrico Elliott and two brothers; Bill Elliott and Kenneth Elliott. Funeral services for Mr. Elliott will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the St. Jerome Catholic Church in Fancy Farm with Father Darrell Venters officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Elliott, Ryan Hobbs, Tyler Hobbs, Jack Elliott, Mark Elliott, and Michael Elliott. Interment will follow in the St. Jerome Cemetery. Friends are invited to call after 5:00 P.M. Wednesday at the St. Jerome Catholic Church in Fancy Farm. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #26. The Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield is in charge of arrangements.
