Aubert V. Rose, Jr, DRE, DD, age 95 of Benton, went to be with Jesus Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Stilley House, his residence in Benton, KY. Bro. Rose was a Baptist minister for over 70 years where he pastored in Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Illinois and Georgia. He devoted his life serving the Lord Jesus and sharing Jesus with others. He was a good and faithful servant of the Lord with a life goal to “Finish my race Well”. Faith, Family and Freedom was what he lived by as he also served as WWII Army Veteran. Bro. Rose was a member of First Baptist Church of Benton. Bro. Rose is survived by his three daughters, Beatrice Ann (Dennis) Johnson of McLeansboro, IL, Esther Ruth (Tim) Whitley of Strawberry Plains, TN and Sarah Elizabeth (John) Goins of McDonough, GA; Sister, Barbara (Ronald) Locke of Brewers, KY; 11 Grandchildren, Andrew (Sherra) Johnson, Benjamin (Dawnelda) Johnson, Christy (Rob) Nichols, Dawn (Brent) McKown, Nathan Whitley, Annie Hook, Abbie Parish, Joe Whitley, Naomi (Jason) Lichty, Ruth (Brian) Metzler and Bethany Ewell and 34 Great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Katheren Rudd Rose; Parents, Aubert V. Rose, SR and Sophia Della Meyer Rose; 2 Brothers and 1 Sister. Funeral Services will be held 1 PM Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with Rev. Mark Doom officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackson-Starks Cemetery in Benton with Graveside Military Rites by American Legion Post 236 of Benton.
